Fish ("we") runs this website at https://therealfish.agency. This policy says what information the site collects about you, why, and what you can do about it. It was last updated on 21 October 2026.
Who we are

What we collect and why
Contact form. When you write to us through the contact page we collect what you type: your name, company, title, email address, phone number, subject and message. We keep a copy on our web server and email it to our team so that we can reply. We use it only to answer you and to consider the request you sent.
Newsletter sign-up. When you enter your email address in the footer, we record it and pass it to HubSpot, the service we use to send our newsletter. HubSpot stores it under its own privacy policy at https://legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
Analytics, only if you accept. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages are visited, from what kind of device, and roughly where from. It sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google, which processes it under Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google Analytics runs only after you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you choose Decline, nothing is loaded and the site works just the same. Your choice is kept in a cookie so we don't ask again; clear your cookies to be asked afresh.
Server logs. Like every website, our server records each request with its IP address, time, page and browser type. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure, and to find problems. They are kept for a limited time and then deleted.
We do not sell your information, build profiles, or make automated decisions about you.
How we use your personal information
Data collected on our website is used only for the purposes set out in this policy or indicated on the relevant page of the site. For each use, the legal basis we rely on:
- To provide you with materials and information you requested. Consent. We only use your personal information for this purpose if you have asked us to. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- To send you information that may interest you, such as newsletters, news bulletins and other business information. Our legitimate interests. We use your business contact information, such as your work email address, to send it. You can object at any time using the unsubscribe link.
- To respond to queries you raise about Fish. Consent. We only use your personal information for this purpose if you have asked us to. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- To give you better ways of accessing information on this website. Our legitimate interests. We use usage data to deliver the best online experience to you and other visitors.
- To consider queries and requests submitted through the contact page. Our legitimate interests. We use what you submitted to assess it and respond.
- To let you submit information to our business development team. Our legitimate interests. We use what you submitted only to assess it for new business purposes.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that make the site work: HubSpot for the newsletter, Google for analytics when you have accepted, and Amazon Web Services, which hosts the site and delivers our email. Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not give or sell your information to anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for our records of that correspondence, after which they are deleted. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept by Google for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, currently 14 months. Server logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time. Email info@therealfish.agency and we will respond within 30 days. We may keep information we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Information you send through the site is stored on servers with access limited to the people who need it to respond to you.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
